Boosting your immune system is as easy as 123

The current coronavirus pandemic has served as a wake up call for all of us in making us realize the importance of good immunity. Boosting immunity has become a top priority for everyone, globally. 

The best way to go about enhancing your immunity is to follow guidelines recommended by WHO and the Ministry of Ayush and follow as many immunity improving habits into our lifestyle as possible. And we have to start doing that as soon as possible. Our mission at this point should be to guard and protect our body against any harmful invaders looking to cause  diseases in our system.

A multi forked approach to get started with is by having health-enhancing foods and immunity boosting nutraceuticals along with adopting habits and behaviours that help guard your immune system. 

Here we discuss some easy to adopt ways by which you can elevate your immunity into it’s optimum levels.

Eating right and considering food as the fuel to your body 

Good food is everyone’s favourite. It makes us keep going and fuels our body. Food is the ultimate medicine because by eating, we are feeding billions of good bacteria living in our gut. Gut is the area where 70% of our immune system is present.

5. Spicy meals are good: Just like you pick tea with immunity boosting spices, it’s time to add some taste and health to your food as well, all with a mix of healthy spices. Ginger, cumin,garlic turmeric, cinnamon, clove and black pepper have anti-inflammatory and antiviral benefits. They also help in smooth digestion. Moreover, they take your food a notch up, in terms of taste. 

6. A dash of coconut: You can add coconut oil in just about everything, the food you cook, your smoothies or your morning coffee. Coconut oil has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and also gives your body the healthy fats it requires for optimum functioning.
